The courtyard

Rose's eyes opened slowly, her head was throbbing still and sticky with blood. She jumped when she saw the guards. "Sorry, sirs" she muttered bowing her head and she soon realised she was shaking and still felt a bit dizzy. She closed her eyes and tried to stand up but stumbled and fell back down onto the ground. She looked up and saw the guards still staring at her, surrounding her. She slowly backed into the corner still looking up at the guards all around her. She bent her head in a small respectful bow., trembling waiting for her punishment. She was scared, she knew how strict the rules were at the palace and not completing tasks and being lazy or idle was a serious offense for servants. She breathed slowly not daring to look up.

A spiteful grin spread along the guards thin, wrinkled lips. His hand had several drops of blood along the palm and his hair was not dishevelled. Licking his lips, he used the back of Rose's shirt to hoist her in the air. "You scared of heights?" He muttered in Rose's ears with a malicious look on his face. "Hmm?" He spat into Rose's face

Rose didn't dare reply she just moved her head slightly as a small nod looking at the large guard who was holding her. The collar of her uniform was cutting into her throat and she gagged slightly, her feet were dangling high above the ground and she was about to strugle until she realised how pointless it would be, it would just put her in a worse situation. She swallowed still not daring to talk or struggle.

Another guard snorted.
"Let it drop. Our orders were to take her here and leave her hereuntil she cleans herself up." he advised.
A couple of guards nodded, chiming in with remarks of 'We can't be bothered with this!' and 'Let's go for lunch!'. Half of them clattered off over the cobbled floor of the courtyard, soon out of sight within the crowds, obviously heading to their quarters to get food.

Rosalie breathed a sigh of relief before standing up slowly and making her way to the servants quaters, hoping she wouldn't run into any other guards and really hoping not to run into Shishui, she crept quietly keeping in the shadows hoping not to be seen by anyone who knew what had happened on the staircase and she knew Shishui wouldn't be happy if he met her. She carefully carried on making her way to the servants quaters using a back entrance concealed in one of the walls on the far side of the courtyard but the courtyard was crawling with soldiers and other officals she carried on creeping quietly towards the door.

The guard pulled a face. He kicked a stone across the courtyard, it skidding and hitting a dog, which leapt up and yelped like fox. Nothing else to do, Nothing to guard - yet. He yawned and lent against a wall, watching Rose creep away. He'd watch her.

Rose ran into a small run and reached the door, she tried to open it but it was jammed, she tried tugging it until it came loose and she quickly ran in and up the stair case concealed behind it and entered to door to the servants quaters.
